Office of Deacon:

The office of deacon is very important to the local church. Deacons are the agents of mercy and caring to those in the congregation who are poor or needy. God has designed this ministry as a practical office that serves God’s people who need help. Those that serve God well as deacons are rewarded.

Qualifications for the office of deacon are given in 1 Timothy 3:8-12.
A potential candidate must meet every qualification or they are not qualified to serve as a deacon.
